All Kerala Seminar Series on Animation and Visual Effects

Toonz Academy the training division of Technopark based Toonz Animation India is organizing a series of seminars focusing on ‘Animation and Visual Effects’. The first of this have kick-started in Palakad on 6th of this month.

The seminar will focus on the developments in the animation and multimedia industry and also the rising career opportunities in the sector. The horizon that defines animation is now being broadened to include not only the entertainment sector, but also to non-entertainment and increasingly to arts, science, defense, gaming etc.  “Animation is considered to be the most attractive genre for new and emerging platforms like media convergence, mobile media, online games etc. Architecture, education, engineering, forensics, simulation, space exploration, military etc will all soon find using animation techniques increasingly in their day-to-day activities. NASSCOM estimates that 3 lakh job opportunities exist in the animation and gaming sectors.  The session aims to familiarize the younger generation and aspirants of the opportunities that lie ahead in this sector.” said Toonz Academy President, R K Nair.

The seminars will be handled by experts from Toonz Animation studio. The upcoming seminars are in Trichur (9th of December) and Cochin (15th December). The second leg of seminars in Kottayam, Pathanamthitta, Trivandrum and Kollam will be in the month of January 2011.
