Manta Ray Comics, a new independent publisher of comics and graphic novels based in Bangalore is about to release their debut black and white graphic short story ‘Hush’. Hush has been created by two NIDians Pratheek Thomas & Rajiv Eipe.
Speaking to CG Today Pratheek Thomas, Co-founder of Manta Ray Comics said, “The graphic story Hush targets an audience of 18-35 age group. Starkly illustrated and unencumbered by words, Hush aspires to be a step forward for graphic story telling in India”
Pratheek Thomas has written the story for Hush, while Rajiv Eipe has illustrated it. “We wanted to use light and shadow, and at the same time the negative space very well and Hush kind of story can be well expressed through dark shadows” added Pratheek.
Co-founded by Pratheek Thomas and Dileep Cherian, Manta Ray Comics has already started working on their next project, a limited series, which is expected to hit the stores in early 2011.

Priced at Rs. 195, Hush is a limited edition print, currently available for Pre-orders through Dial-a-Book (09650-457-457) and also on Flipkart.com. It will be in stores by December 22.
