Pennebaker Fifth Ring (Pennebaker), the award-winning branding and corporate communications firm, was named ‘Agency of the Year’ at the Business Marketing Association (BMA) Houston’s 2010 Lantern Awards of Texas. Pennebaker was also awarded with two Lantern Awards and two Awards of Excellence. The event was held at the Petroleum Club of Houston on Tuesday, November 16, 2010.
The Lantern Awards of Texas competition is designed solely for marketers and producers of business-to-business communications. Entries include a statement of objectives, strategy, target audience, and results that are then judged by a BMA panel to determine how well each entry generates attention, interest, desire, and action from a targeted business audience.
Pennebaker was recognized for work in rebranding, logo development, motion graphics, and newsletters. Among the finalists were agency clients All Points Equipment Co., LLC, Bristow Group, Inc., Empire Foods, FKP Architects, and Green Bank. Best in Category Lantern Awards were awarded for FKP’s motion graphics and Green Bank’s logo. Pennebaker’s work with Empire’s rebranding and Bristow’s newsletter was recognized by Awards of Excellence.
The Agency of the Year award is selected from an individual category Lantern Award winner by the judges. Pennebaker was chosen for its work with FKP Architects in motion graphics.
“We are delighted to receive the two Lanterns and the two Awards of Excellence that showcase a wide range of work for our clients,” said Ward Pennebaker, Principal at Pennebaker. “The Agency of the Year Award is just outstanding! Given that it is hand selected by a panel of judges, we and our clients are honored to have received this recognition.”
