OCULA

OCULA is a unique collection of plug-in tools that solve common problems with stereoscopic imagery, boost productivity in post production, and ultimately help to deliver a more rewarding stereoscopic viewing experience.

The plug-ins are designed to automatically replicate key processes on left and right channels and help artists polish and refine stereoscopic material, literally removing headaches from the final viewing experience.

Stereo footage almost always requires tuning to simplify the post-production effort required in visual effects pipelines. OCULA excels at controlling plate misalignment and the correction of the localised colour differences typical of mirror or prism rigs. The toolset also provides other fundamental building blocks to assist in the correction of more intricate stereo problems.

FURNACE

FURNACE uses motion estimation to solve common post production problems. FURNACE can also help solve some specific issues that specifically crop up on stereo and conversion work.

For conversion work, the Texture, RigRemoval and SmartPlate tools can be used to extract or extend unavailable occluded areas behind foreground elements. The motion and colour based tools such as ColourMatte, MotionMatte and MotionSmooth aid the separation of foreground items. The Grain management tools are important for the integration of elements into the scene, with DeBlur assisting with any mis-matched focus between views.
