MochaImagineer Systems today announced its new product and partnership plans for NAB 2011 convention in Las Vegas, NV next week (April 11 - 14, 2011). In its booth #SL3327H in the Plug-In Pavilion, Imagineer Systems will showcase new versions of mocha and mocha Pro and unveil future technology demos of mocha AE. mocha Pro is the planar tracking, roto and removal tool that dramatically reduces the manual labor associated with visual effects and stereo conversion projects. The new release also greatly improves roto support for Nuke compositing workflow. David Orr - The Whole StoryIt's not easy directing talent that has no bones, no blood and no brains. But the results can be magical.

At least that's true if you're director David Orr and the one-stop production house The Whole Story who recently created a commercial for Chicago's Shedd Aquarium and its new temporary exhibit on the mysterious world of jellyfish. The disarmingly minimalist spot for "Jellies" reveals the puffy, translucent sea creatures, styled in bright, iridescent hues, floating elegantly in space. Simple graphics invite viewers to "encounter their mysteries."

"I wanted to communicate a sense of wonder and fascination," says Orr. "I wanted people to really see how fantastic these creatures are."

LimitlessLOOK Effects’ New York visual effects production facility has completed the visual effects for Neil Burger’s latest film, “Limitless.” The thriller, which stars Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro, was shot in Philadelphia and opened nationwide Friday, March 18, 2011.

The BAFTA and VES-nominated LOOK was brought on board last summer. “Principal photography had already wrapped and VFX were underway, but there were still some outstanding design elements that needed to be addressed,” explains Visual Effects Supervisor Dan Schrecker. “I had met Director Neil Burger and Producer Scott Kroopf a number of years earlier, during a previous incarnation of the film, so I had some familiarity with the project.”
